F1 Academy driver Lia Block recently gave former Williams team principal Claire Williams an unforgettable rally experience at the DirtFish Rally School in Washington.
Behind the wheel of a rally-prepped Subaru BRZ, Lia showcased her impressive car control, sliding the car expertly around corners and letting the back end slip out for maximum fun. Lia explained, “These cars are more fun because the back end slips out more,” and Claire was along for the thrilling ride.
For Claire, the experience was more than just adrenaline. She shared a touching moment reflecting on her late father, Sir Frank Williams, saying, “My dad would have loved this.” It was a beautiful reminder of the deep roots motorsport runs in their families.
Though they had never met before, the day was a unique meeting point between two generations of motorsport passion—Lia Block, rally champion and rising F1 Academy star, and Claire Williams, a legendary figure in Formula 1.
Lia, daughter of rally legend Ken Block, continues to prove that her talent shines both on dirt and on the racetrack, bridging worlds and inspiring fans everywhere.
